Takahiro Miyashita and Takayuki Fuji, both individual masters within Japanese contemporary fashion, first teamed up to launch Sand.W.Man in the latter part of 2013. Since then, releases have been sparse (but strong), and here the collaborative footwear imprint follows up a shoe with Reebok through the “004/Beach” video. The video offers a preview of the forthcoming drop from Sand.W.Man, which is an interesting hybrid of sandal and boot that adopts a neat spur-like unit at the back. Director Koichi Toya did well to encapsulate the rider’s spirit through the video, which showcases the shoe in the context of a horseback rider.
