Originally founded in London, New York-based brand KOMAKINO returns to our pages with a look at its forthcoming collection for spring/summer 2016. Here we find burgeoning designer Federico Capalbo revisiting the canons utilitarian silhouettes from the 1940s and 1950s, applying a workwear sensibility to sleek modern forms. The collection is mostly comprised of outerwear flips – bombers, engineered trenches, woolen pea coats – that have been detailed with post-production enzymes and dyes, but meticulously frayed denim and a rad selection of staple hoodies and T-shirts make the offering complete. Crafted in Italy for superior quality, check out KOMAKINO’s latest here and head on to the brand site to peruse its current selection.
