As automotive technology advances with time, manufacturers begin to lose sight of the most important aspect of supercars — driving experience. Instead, focus is diverted into added luxury features, often over-engineering what would otherwise be beautiful performance vehicles. Alfa Romeo looks to shed all that with its 2015 4C Spider, the company’s street-ready performance vehicle, designed purely for driving pleasure. Petrolicious has taken the car for a trip through Los Angeles, showcasing its impressive four-cylinder 1.75 turbocharged gas engine and dual clutch 6-speed TCT gearbox, which is capable of exerting 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Although confined within the city’s road regulations, the 4C Spider was able to tease viewers a hint of its 155mph top speed as well as its powerful acceleration, reaching 62 mph in 4.5 seconds from a standstill.
