Officine Generale 2015 Fall/Winter Collection

Following foundation in 2012 by designer Pierre Mahéo, Officine Generale has since grown to become one of today’s best understated luxury brands with over 70 stockists worldwide. The theme for the upcoming fall/winter season is “doubt” and was created as an incentive for Mahéo to work through the creative blocks most designers share, while retaining the utilitarian, function-first appeal of Officine Generale. The collection consists of formal and casual layers such as blazers, monochromatic sweaters, lapeled coats and tailored bottoms that have been modified from old silhouettes by increasing fabric volume and improving each piece’s fit. Although the collection retains a distinctly tailored edge, each piece was originally designed to bear similarities to over-sized workwear with a subdued color palette being presented across a selection of quality fabrics like English wool and Loro Piana flannel to Japanese selvedge denim and cashmere.
