maharishi 2016 Spring Collection

London-based maharishi presented a geographic explorer-inspired men’s ready-to-wear collection recently at London Collections: Men. The 2016 spring season sees a strong range of utilitarian field jackets, bomber jackets, linen blazers, hooded ponchos, kimonos, crewneck sweaters, button-up shirts, long-sleeved tops, mandarin collar shirts, T-shirts, linen pants, wide-legged trousers, jogger sweats, cargo pants, and shorts, and accessories like backpacks, bags, bucket hats, scarves and neck shade hats. Orange, purple and military green are thrown into the mix of neutral white, beige and khaki outfits that are offset by tiger motifs, abstract patterns and camouflage prints. The abundance of safari silhouettes, straps and clergy stoles are a strong indication of creative director Hardy Blechman’s penchant for drawing from a variety of global influences of religious garb and uniforms of combat, military, safari and other adventurers.
