To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Shelby 427 Cobra, a special run of 50 cars will be issued. Both a traditional Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White stripes option as well as a polished aluminium version (seen here) will be offered. While there has been an abundance of “continuation” cars that pay homage to the legendary 427 Cobra, these particular instances will come straight from Shelby American. The car itself will include 50th anniversary badging and chassis numbers CSX4550-4599. Prices will range from $120,000 USD for the fiberglass version (Guardsman Blue color only) or $180,000 USD for the aluminium version (both Guardsman Blue and polished). However, for any prospective owners, they’ll be required to install their own transmission and engine. The cars go on sale on Tuesday, January 13 at 10am EST.
