A century ago, the city of Pirmasens in Germany hosted no less than 240 shoe factories — an industry that employed more than 14,000 workers. Today, only a handful of these factories remain, including the renowned Münchsweiler plant — home to KangaROOS’ premium, handmade designs. Now, Berlin’s Overkill and American footwear label KangaROOS look to build upon the success of their collaborative winery-inspired “Grape” Coil R1s with yet another nod to German craftsmanship. Crafted at the Münchsweiler plant, the “Craftsman Champions” pack makes use of the KangaROOS Ultimate, draping the design in the highest quality materials for a look that blends fashion with sleek design and an athletic lifestyle. Handmade, individually numbered, lined in fine leather and cotton, and complete with tasteful Overkill branding, custom hangtags, and special wooden boxes, the “Craftsman Champions” pack is limited to just 200 pairs — 100 in blue and 100 in grey — and is set to be available online this Saturday, October 4.
