ALIFE x SHIPS JET BLUE for George Cox 2014 Fall/Winter Collection

Thanks to the likes of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood — who sold the label’s footwear in their iconic “Let It Rock” shop on London’s King’s Road — Northamptonshire’s George Cox has long been synonymous with the unique blend of ska, reggae, rocksteady, punk, and new wave that was the “Two-Tone” sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s. As a nod to Cox and the era, ALIFE has teamed up with SHIPS JET BLUE for a Fall/Winter 2014 capsule collection. Indicative of the times and marked by a black and white checker motif, the collection includes a classic monkey jacket and tipped polos while Cox completes the collection with an Italian-crafted Pop Boy — highlighted by a woven toe box — and a debossed Gibson style that’s handmade in the UK. Limited to runs of just 50, the unique collection is now available exclusively at ALIFE’s New York flagship, ALIFE’s online store, and SHIPS JET BLUE’s Oaska storefront.
