Starwars House by MOON HOON Architects

Turning childhood fantasies into livable homes, Korean architecture firm MOON HOON has created the ‘Starwars House’ for a family in Yongin-si. The three-floor home pays visual homage to a certain longstanding sci-fi series while also acknowledging the client’s childhood dream of being an astronaut. As a result, the ‘Starwars House’ features an angled concrete facade, relieved with thin stripes and boxy windows reminiscent of Ralph McQuarrie’s original work. The interior is decidedly bright and skeletal, making use of natural light and woods to create a spacious effect for the inhabitants. Enjoy a look at the Starwars House above and head here to look at more of MOON HOON’s dynamic work.
