Often called “The Motown of Reggae,” Coxsone Dodd’s Studio One was way more than just a reggae label, driving the entire culture for decades thanks to a roster of artists that essentially reads like a “who’s who” of the genre; Bob Marley and the Wailers, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Burning Spear, Toots and the Maytals, Horace Andy, Dennis Brown, and The Gladiators all recorded at the label’s famed Kingston studio. Now 10.Deep pays homage to the reggae pioneers with a collaborative Summer 2014 Studio One collection. Highlighting key imagery from the studio’s heyday, the range features album art from the likes of The Wailing Wailers, Freddie MacGregor, Michigan & Smiley, and Lone Ranger, as well as birds-of-paradise tropical prints inspired by Studio One and 10.Deep’s “Island Life” Summer 2014 theme.
