BIBO Restaurant in Hong Kong Features Installations by Street Art Legends

To write Hong Kong’s newest dining experience off as ‘part-gallery, part restaurant’ would be an egregious understatement. Called BIBO, the space combines work from an art collector’s extensive collection with one very bold interior design story to comprise one of the most impressive sensory experiences in the world. Rare works from KAWS, Invader, JR, and Daniel Arsham casually line the walls and interior, which is decorated in the style of a 1930′s Parisian saloon – which comes together on BIBO’s adventurous French fare. Substance Design Agency was beside itself with creativity, connecting the past and present with a fake building identity (the abandoned headquarters of a French tramway company) and a melange of artistic subway cues. Enjoy a quick look through this interesting space above, and head over to designboom for the full artist’s statement.
